Honolulu 
I want to go to Hawaii for beautiful nature.  I think i'll only stay in Honolulu/Waikiki for a couple of days to get rid of jet lag.  Unless I should see it on my way out (to Australia).

Note if I do go to Kauai i may fly there first and then do Honolulu on my way out of town.

North Shore Oahu
Maybe go for one of the surf competitions - Just to watch :)

This is supposed to be beautiful secluded surf bum town.  Between Nov and Feb is best time to go watch surfing.

 This is a good place to go be a beach bum for a few days.

Kauai
Nature galore!  Best time to go spring or fall.  Quieter not as much of a party place as Oahu.  Can fly direct to  Lihue  http://www.westjet.com/guest/en/home.shtml.  Then have to fly to Honolulu.

    
What to see:
Waimea canyon.
Kokee State park (rainforest).

Hanalei or Kapaa?
